Anas (r) related that the Meseenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
“My dear son be sure to avoid being distracted during the prayer: to become distracted while praying is a disaster!” (Related by at-Tirmidhi)
A bu Hurayrah (r) reported:
“The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: ‘When a servant [of Allah] stands in prayer’ -I think he said – ‘he stands before none other than the All-Merciful, Blessed and Exalted is He. If he becomes distracted, Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) says: ‘Whom are you thinking of instead? Someone better than Me? O son of Adam, come to Me: I am better than the one of whom you are thinking of’”. (Related by al-Bazzar)
