My Lord! Cause me to come in with a firm incoming and to go out with a firm outgoing. And give me from Thy presence a sustaining Power.” [Al Qur'aan 17:80]

A prayer for much beloved parents.

Posted by awaqas1 on September 23, 2007

When I remember my parents, this dua reminds me of Allah Tallah, When I remember Allah Tallah through this Dua Allah Tallah reminds me of how much love he has put into the hearts of my parents for me. Which reminds me of the how much Allah Tallah loves me.

وَاخْفِضْ لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَقُل رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا

And lower unto them the wing of submission through mercy, and say: My Lord! Have mercy on them both as they did care for me when I was little. (Quran Bani Israel[The descendants of Israel]:24)

Who is your LOVED one ?

Posted by awaqas1 on September 17, 2007

The first benefit is that I observed mankind and saw that everyone had a loved one and one passionately desired whom he loved and longed for; and certain of those loved accompanied him to the illness of death and others to the border of the tomb, then each returned and left him alone and lonely, and there did not enter with him into the tomb and comfort him in it {[one of them; so I considered and said, the most excellent beloved of man is what enters into the tomb and comforts him in it]}; and I found it to be nothing else than good works, so I took this as my beloved, [to be] a light for me in my grave, and to comfort me in it and not leave me alone.

Hatim al-Asamm was among the friends of Shaqiq al-Balkhi the mercy of Allah be upon them both. Shaqiq asked him one day, and said: “There thiry years you have associated with me—what have you gained in them?” He replied, “I have gained eight benefits. The above is just one of them.

Need Advice? Get the best

Posted by awaqas1 on September 14, 2007

The lesson I am teaching myself today is:

Surah Luqman: verse: 17

“My dearest Son, Observe the act of worship and enjoin equity forbid what is wrong, odious and abominable and exercise patience with composure when exposed to a misfortune or wedded to a calamity, for this reflects an attitude of mind that mirrors high spirit and strong will.”

As easier this might sound it is very hard to do, especially in the times you are tested with the things most close to your heart. So the plan is to always keep this advice in my mind and ask Allah Tallah to help me with this. So the first thing I am going to do tomorrow morning in read this inshallah and, keep doing this for sometime.

Do write your opinions and comments on this one, or at least think and reflect upon this, inshallah
